EAR fül orr gége, fülészet, fülfájás

Our ears are the sensory organs for hearing and balance. Symptoms of diseases affecting the external ear, middle ear, and inner ear include hearing loss, reduced hearing, ear pain, ringing in the ears, buzzing in the ears, dizziness, and ear discharge. Hearing loss, ear ringing, tinnitus, dizziness, balance disorders, and vertigo can be diagnosed and treated at our Ear Clinic. In childhood, the most common causes of ear pain are ear canal inflammation, otitis media with effusion, serous otitis media, mucoid otitis media, and acute suppurative otitis media. Causes of hearing loss, reduced hearing, and deafness in adults include perforated eardrum, chronic otitis media, noise-induced damage, and fluid depletion. Audiological testing is available to detect the level of hearing impairment. Acute otitis media can be treated with medication, while chronic otitis media may require ear surgery, such as tympanoplasty. The protruding ear can cause psychological damage in addition to aesthetic concerns, and thus ear surgery, or otoplasty, is recommended. It is best for an ear, nose, and throat specialist to perform otoplasty, as the ear is a sensory organ.

The nose and the nasal cavityarcüreg

The nasal sinus system and the facial sinuses are organs of smell, respiration, air preparation, and voice formation. In the nose, the most common symptoms are nosebleeds, allergies, runny nose, cold, loss of smell, sinusitis, headache, nasal congestion, and snoring. After identifying the cause of nasal congestion, runny nose, or facial pain, we perform local treatment or nasal surgery. The most common cause of nasal itching and nasal polyps is allergies, hay fever, and perennial allergic rhinitis. The majority of sinus surgeries are performed with nasal endoscopy (FESS surgery) without pain. The most common nasal surgeries are deviated septum, nasal spur, nasal spines, basal lamella due to septoplasty, and nasal polyp surgery due to nasal polyposis, which is also painless. Impaired nasal function may also be caused by middle ear disease, sinusitis, frontal sinusitis, or ethmoidal sinusitis. The causes of nasal bleeding, epistaxis, can be nasal inflammation, nasal injury, deviated septum, or vasomotor rhinitis.

The pharynx torokfájás mandulagyulladás

The pharynx and the throat perform respiratory and nutritional functions. Digestion of food begins in the pharynx, while the tonsils in the throat play a role in defense. Common diseases of the throat and pharynx include pharyngitis, sore throat, scratchy throat, tonsillitis, adenoiditis, nasopharyngitis, swallowing difficulties, cough, throat burn, coughing, and pain on swallowing. Acute tonsillitis, tonsillar abscess, peritonsillar abscess, and suffocation can cause complications, while chronic tonsillitis can result in focal infections, making tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy necessary. Symptoms of reflux disease often appear in the throat, such as coated tongue, chronic pharyngitis, and inflammation of the tongue root. Throat cancer and tongue root cancer are more common in smokers. Some throat diseases can be prevented by administering vaccines.

The larynx
rekedség

The larynx, the organ of phonation, provides protection to the airways during eating by separating the passage of food and air. Diseases and symptoms of the larynx and vocal cords include hoarseness, hoarse voice, laryngitis, vocal cord inflammation, coughing, and in severe cases, suffocation and shortness of breath. Causes of difficulty breathing due to the larynx include laryngitis, inflammation of the vocal cords, laryngeal edema, polyps on the vocal cords, and bronchitis. Laryngitis can be caused by drafts, colds, and flu, and symptoms include hoarseness, pain in the larynx, and throat pain. Laryngeal coughing can be spasmodic, painful, and uncontrollable. Laryngeal paralysis, vocal cord paralysis, and recurrent laryngeal nerve paralysis can occur after thyroid or larynx surgery or lung cancer. Croup, barking cough, and cold symptoms are common in children after viral infections of the larynx and pharynx. Smoking can result in benign laryngeal tumors, Reinke's edema, laryngeal cancer, tongue cancer, and esophageal cancer!
